Quilting for Babies!

I love babies!! And I love my awesome family. I have two sisters who are preggo with girls right now (and yes, I am very jealous!) So I have dabbled into the world of quilting and finished two quilt tops. My wonderful, generous Aunt Jane is going to use her magic quilting machine to make them even more beautiful. At first I thought the heart shape one would be for Sandy and the pinwheel would be for Jamie, but I might be changing my mind, or maybe not. Maybe it'll be easier to choose after they are quilted. So here they are.

I love springtime! It is so choice. I thank heaven for all the rain that has made this desert wasteland look so beautiful!

Stickin' to it

This is all a bunch of randomness, but here it is. Life is random, right? I love being a mom and everything that comes with it. I have to say that it is only getting harder as the kids get older. Audree is really making me work on my patience. I am getting a very small glimpse of what it might be like for our Father in Heaven to have to repeat counsel over and over again. Really, its been about a year that I have been working on this one thing with Audree and I'm not even sure if she's close to getting it. "Line upon line"!

My little Ethan turned four yesterday! It was a great day. We went to the Phoenix Zoo in the morning with friends and family (pictures coming soon). My parents got him a big-boy-bike and he has been riding ever since. He says, "Mom, I like being four. I always wanted to be FOUR!" He is so cute and has the sweetest disposition. He is a keeper! I love you, Ethan!

Optic Neuritis: Round Three
Yes, it's back. I have a very stupid right eye. At least this time it doesn't hurt (yet) like it did before. I can manage it by moving my head instead of my eyes to look around. I am hoping that it will go away on its own and I wont have to be hospitalized. If the doc says I need another treatment I hope to do it at home and have a nurse come once a day to administer the steroids. I am going to be too buff for my own good when this is over! Meanwhile, I am enjoying all the sparkle lights that are not really there.

The Price of Eggs

I feel like I always have to reevaluate my priorities. Our society and sometimes our acquaintances would have us believe that there are more important things than our families and our church. Why do I ever listen? Weakness is frustrating to me. But luckily I feel like my head is on straight more than it is off. I am so glad that I get to be with my family. I can't imagine missing all the milestones and just pure cuteness from my kids all day. It comes at a price, for sure.

We don't enjoy a lot of worldly luxuries right now but we have what we need. I'm so cheesey about it. Audree asked me the other day if we were poor (we are) but I told her that as long as we have love we will never be poor because money is just a temporary thing but our family is forever. I know, I know, it's super cheeseball, but I believe it and so did she.
